Education and Experience
I earned my Bachelor's degree in English and Master's degree in Secondary Education from the University at Albany. As an undergrad, I was also part of the English Honors Program. I invested a year of my life researching and writing a paper on Frankenstein, Hannibal Lector, and Dexter - because that's how I roll.
I was also a substitute teacher at the small rural school from which I graduated from January 2007-November 2011, and interned at an alternative program in 2008.
My student teaching experiences were at both in urban settings- middle and high school- the latter of which I was a substitute teacher at until November 2012, when I moved to the wonderful alternative program where I currently teach. Here I continue to work with students to help them self-actualize and become successful in whatever may interest them (which, if you don't know, can change on daily basis...).
